Natasha Poonawalla Dazzles in Schiaparelli's Tech-Infused Haute Couture Dress

We all have heard of the motherboard, yes the printed circuit board in general-purpose computers and other expandable systems. But what if I tell you Schiaparelli made a dress out of the motherboard and Natasha Poonawalla aced the look at the Harper Bazaar’s Women of The Year awards ceremony where she won the Style Icon Award, and rightly so!

Poonawalla chose the Schiaparelli’s haute couture Spring/Summer 2024 Paris Fashion Week dress at a recent outing. The dress comprised of a bit of software and hardware. Yes you heard that right, old phones, mother boards, CPU coolers and chipsets made for her shiny mini dress that sparkled more intensely than Mars.

Relics predating 2007, the year iPhone 2G debuted and a motherboard-and-strasse microchip was a part of the creation. Poonwalla’s dress retains a classic structured shape that signifies the strange beauty Elsa Schiaparelli created.

Not to miss are the citizen calculator and a CD in place of a pocket that are embedded on the dress. Wondering where did the green colour of the dress come? It is all because of the computer wires and Swarovskis encrusted on the garment.

Definitely not a dress to sit in! Tradition interfaced with modernness to create a mesh between artistry and technology.

Poonawalla accessorised it with emeralds and tied her hair in a bun. Her makeup was on point as always.

We must say Poonawalla sure knows how to make a fashion statement.
