Gone are the days when you had to wear different outfits for various occasions. Societal expectations forced many to embark on a shopping haul whenever an event or celebration was fast approaching. Even now chances are that you might get disappointed if you happen to spot someone wearing the same ensemble as you. However, times have changed and repeating clothes without having to refresh your wardrobe every time you step out has become the new trend. Through this approach, you are not only standing against this wasteful cycle but also lessening the carbon impact. Celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Suhana Khan, Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton and Michelle Obama have also adopted a similar fashion approach of re-wearing previously worn outfits.
On a more recent note, the Duchess of Sussex aka Meghan Markle put forward a strong message of sustainable fashion when she attended the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Gala to honour the tireless works of the hospital authorities and staff members. For her event, Meghan picked out a vibrant red gown from the shelves of Carolina Herrera. The halter neck straps cascaded in length forming structured cups and a risque plunging neckline. Cinched at the waist, the gown extended in length, skimming at her ankles. The column-style number featured a straight fit helping Meghan showcase her svelte frame. The centre slit added a bold spin to her OOTD that the Duchess pulled off effortlessly and with sheer grace.

Meghan Markle complemented her elegant avatar with minimal jewellery comprising golden studs and a single bangle. In terms of makeup, Meghan went for a dewy-glam base, coupled with rosy-contoured cheeks, glossy nude lips, wispy mascara-coated lashes and brushed-back brows. Dark tresses left open in soft and slick curls framed her face like a true wonder. Meghan sealed her regal avatar by slipping into red strap heels
Meghan Markle wore the same Carolina Herrera red gown for a red carpet appearance in 2021. The only difference was that three years back she customised the now straight-fit ensemble into a voluminous overskirt that came with a flowy train giving a unique flair to her overall appearance. A top-tied bun suited the aesthetics.
